Retail shopfitting in Annan
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our retail shopfitting work in Annan is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
Retail shopfitting is the design, manufacture and installation of everything inside a shop that lets it trade: walls, ceilings, lighting, flooring, display fixtures, counters, fitting rooms and the services behind them.
How do we plan the job?
The survey for retail shopfitting in Annan covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Annan we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Display walls, gondolas and counters
- Flooring, decorating and final clean
- Measured survey and floor plan
- Strip-out and making good
- Partitions, drylining and ceilings
What should Annan owners check first?
- Landlord consent and the lease's fit-out guide usually need sign-off before work starts.
- Shopfitting inside a trading centre often has to run out of hours, so ask for a night-work price early.
- Fire alarm, emergency lighting and escape signage must be commissioned and certified before you open.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
Questions about retail shopfitting in Annan
Do you provide the design as well as the build?
We produce a layout and elevations with you, then build from them. If you already have a designer or brand guidelines, we work to those instead.

How soon can work start in Annan?
Surveys are usually booked within one to two weeks. Your quote includes a start date and a dated programme.
Can you work around our existing shop while it trades?
Yes. We phase the work, screen off live areas and do the noisy and dusty trades out of hours so the shop can keep taking money.
