Pharmacy fit-out for Kelso businesses
We carry out pharmacy fit-out in Kelso and the surrounding parts of the Scottish Borders, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
How do we plan the job?
For Kelso jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Kelso we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
What should Kelso owners check first?
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
