Commercial shop flooring for Bath businesses
We carry out commercial shop flooring in Bath and the surrounding parts of Somerset, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
Commercial shop flooring is hard-wearing floor covering laid for heavy foot traffic: sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tile, porcelain, resin and entrance matting.
How is the work priced?
Before we price commercial shop flooring in Bath, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Bath we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Porcelain and ceramic tiling
- Resin and polished concrete
- Recessed entrance matting
- Anti-slip finishes for wet areas
- Subfloor survey and levelling
What should Bath owners check first?
- Entrance areas should have matting to stop rain being walked into the shop.
- Kitchens and wet areas need a higher slip resistance rating.
- A poor subfloor shows through thin vinyl; levelling is worth paying for.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
