Bespoke shop joinery and counters in Canterbury
Need bespoke shop joinery and counters in Canterbury? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Bespoke shop joinery is furniture made for your unit: counters, display cabinets, wall units, fitting room doors and feature pieces, built in a workshop and fitted on site.
What happens at the survey?
For Canterbury jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Canterbury we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Display cabinets, lockable and lit
- Wall units and shelving
- Laminate, veneer and painted finishes
- Delivery and installation
- Workshop drawings for approval
What should Canterbury owners check first?
- Counters should include a lowered section for wheelchair users.
- Hard-wearing edges matter more than the face finish on busy counters.
- Allow time for drawing approval before manufacture starts.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
