What happens at the survey?
The survey for shelving and display systems in Canterbury covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Canterbury we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Pegboard, hooks and accessories
- Installation and fixing to structure
- Layout planning around your stock
- Slatwall and panel systems
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
What should Canterbury owners check first?
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
- Check shelf load ratings against your heaviest products.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
