How do we plan the job?
Before we price bespoke shop joinery and counters in Newport, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Newport we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Counters and cash desks
- Display cabinets, lockable and lit
- Wall units and shelving
- Laminate, veneer and painted finishes

What should Newport owners check first?
- Counters should include a lowered section for wheelchair users.
- Hard-wearing edges matter more than the face finish on busy counters.
- Allow time for drawing approval before manufacture starts.
In Wales, the Building Regulations are set by the Welsh Government and applied by local authority building control. Shopfronts, signs and extraction flues need checking with the local planning authority, and many Welsh towns have conservation areas with stricter rules on shopfront design.
