Aluminium shopfronts contractors in Perth
We carry out aluminium shopfronts in Perth and the surrounding parts of Tayside, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
An aluminium shopfront is the glazed frame, doors and stallriser that make up the front of a shop, made to measure in powder-coated aluminium with toughened or laminated safety glass.
How is the work priced?
Before we price aluminium shopfronts in Perth, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Perth we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Measured survey of the opening
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
- Single, double or automatic doors
- Level threshold and accessible door handles
What should Perth owners check first?
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
- Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
