What should Ballymena owners check first?

Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.

In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
