Takeaway and hot food fit-out contractors in Devizes
We carry out takeaway and hot food fit-out in Devizes and the surrounding parts of Wiltshire, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A takeaway fit-out is a compact commercial kitchen with a customer counter and a waiting area, built to food hygiene standards and with extraction that satisfies planning conditions.
How is the work priced?
For Devizes jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Devizes we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and pharmacies and healthcare premises.
What is included?
- Waste and grease management
- Serving counter with display and hot holding
- Kitchen line layout and stainless fabrication
- Extraction canopy and odour control
- Wall cladding and coved flooring
What should Devizes owners check first?
- Wall finishes must be smooth, washable and non-absorbent in food areas.
- Hot food takeaways need planning permission for the use class, and many councils restrict new takeaways near schools.
- Odour control on the extraction is often a planning condition.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
Questions about takeaway and hot food fit-out in Devizes
How soon can work start in Devizes?
Surveys are usually booked within one to two weeks. Your quote includes a start date and a dated programme.
Can you work in a dark kitchen unit?
Yes. Delivery-only kitchens follow the same hygiene and extraction rules without the customer counter.
Do I need planning permission for a takeaway?
A hot food takeaway is its own use class, so converting a shop usually needs planning permission. We check before you commit to the lease.
