Suspended ceilings and partitions in Cheshire
Businesses across Cheshire use us for suspended ceilings and partitions because one team manages the design, the trades and the sign-off. We regularly quote in Crewe, Macclesfield, Northwich.
Suspended ceilings and partitions form the shell of a fit-out: grid or plasterboard ceilings that hide services, and stud walls that divide the sales floor, stockroom, office and toilets.
What is shopfitting like in Cheshire?
Typical Cheshire jobs for this service involve pharmacies and healthcare premises, as well as high street units and corner shops. We check the lease, access and service capacity before pricing.
North West city centres and their surrounding towns have a strong food, drink and independent retail scene, with plenty of conversions of older shop units into cafés, bars and salons.
What does the work include?
- Plasterboard ceilings and bulkheads
- Metal stud partitions
- Fire-rated and acoustic walls
- Drylining of existing walls
What approvals might you need in Cheshire?
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
- Walls between a shop and a neighbouring unit or flat may need a fire rating.
- Grid ceilings give easy access to services; plasterboard looks cleaner.
