What happens at the survey?
The survey for shelving and display systems in Grangemouth covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Grangemouth we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
- Glass and lit shelving
- Pegboard, hooks and accessories
- Installation and fixing to structure
- Layout planning around your stock
What should Grangemouth owners check first?
- Check shelf load ratings against your heaviest products.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
