What happens at the survey?
The survey for shelving and display systems in Newbury covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Newbury we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Slatwall and panel systems
- Gondola and wall bay shelving
- Glass and lit shelving
- Pegboard, hooks and accessories
- Installation and fixing to structure
What should Newbury owners check first?
- Leave aisles wide enough for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
- Check shelf load ratings against your heaviest products.
- Tall units must be fixed to the wall or linked to stop them tipping.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
