Shop refurbishment and refit in Poole
We carry out shop refurbishment and refit in Poole and the surrounding parts of Dorset, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
How is the work priced?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Poole, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Poole we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
- Replacement fixtures and counters
What should Poole owners check first?
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
