Planning shop refurbishment and refit in Antrim? Start with a free survey; we check services, access and approvals, then price the job line by line.
A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price shop refurbishment and refit in Antrim, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Antrim we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and boutiques and independent retailers.
What is included?
- Flooring replacement
- Condition survey of the existing fit-out
- Strip-out and waste removal
- Redecoration and new finishes
- Lighting upgrade to LED
What should Antrim owners check first?
- Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
- Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.
- Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
