Shop refurbishment and refit in Ayr

A shop refurbishment updates an existing unit: new finishes, lighting, fixtures and layout, from a light refresh while you trade to a full strip-out and refit.

Guide price for Ayr£150–£450per m², ex VAT. Fixed after a free survey.

What happens at the survey?

For Ayr jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.

In and around Ayr we are usually asked to work on showrooms and trade counters and high street units and corner shops.

What is included?

Flooring replacement
Condition survey of the existing fit-out
Strip-out and waste removal
Redecoration and new finishes
Lighting upgrade to LED

What should Ayr owners check first?

Older units may contain asbestos; a refurbishment survey is needed before strip-out.
Switching to LED lighting cuts running costs and heat load.
Reusing sound fixtures can take a large slice off the cost.

In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
