Salon and barber shop fit-out for Canterbury businesses
Planning salon and barber shop fit-out in Canterbury? Start with a free survey; we check services, access and approvals, then price the job line by line.
A salon fit-out builds styling stations, backwash areas, reception, retail display and any treatment rooms, with the hot water, drainage and power each station needs.
What happens at the survey?
For Canterbury jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Canterbury we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Towel and colour dispensary
- Lighting that flatters skin tones
- Styling stations with mirrors and power
- Backwash units with hot water and drainage
- Reception desk and retail display
What should Canterbury owners check first?
- Hair traps on backwash drainage save costly blockages.
- Backwash units need hot water capacity sized for several basins running together.
- Treatment rooms offering special procedures may need a local authority licence.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
