Salon and barber shop fit-out in Ayr
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Ayr use our salon and barber shop fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A salon fit-out builds styling stations, backwash areas, reception, retail display and any treatment rooms, with the hot water, drainage and power each station needs.
How do we plan the job?
Every salon and barber shop fit-out quote for Ayr lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Ayr we are usually asked to work on shopping centre units and retail park stores and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Treatment rooms and partitions
- Towel and colour dispensary
- Lighting that flatters skin tones
- Styling stations with mirrors and power
- Backwash units with hot water and drainage
What should Ayr owners check first?
- Hair traps on backwash drainage save costly blockages.
- Backwash units need hot water capacity sized for several basins running together.
- Treatment rooms offering special procedures may need a local authority licence.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
