Roller shutters and security for Rugby businesses
Need roller shutters and security in Rugby? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How is the work priced?
Before we price roller shutters and security in Rugby, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Rugby we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Key switch or remote control
- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
- Open-mesh grilles for window display
What should Rugby owners check first?
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
