Roller shutters and security for Oldham businesses
Need roller shutters and security in Oldham? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
How do we plan the job?
For Oldham jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Oldham we are usually asked to work on cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants and shopping centre units and retail park stores.
What is included?
- Electric motor with manual override
- Key switch or remote control
- Powder coating to match the shopfront
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
What should Oldham owners check first?
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
