Roller shutters and security for Stroud businesses
Need roller shutters and security in Stroud? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
Shop roller shutters are steel or aluminium curtains that roll into a box above the shopfront, closed at night to protect the glass and stock. Perforated and grille types let light and window display show through.
What happens at the survey?
For Stroud jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Stroud we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Annual service options
- Solid, perforated or punched lath shutters
- Open-mesh grilles for window display
- Electric motor with manual override
- Key switch or remote control
What should Stroud owners check first?
- Electric shutters need safety edges or photocells to stop them closing on people.
- Externally fitted shutters often need planning permission, and some councils prefer internal grilles.
- Your insurer may specify the security rating it wants.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
