How do we plan the job?
The survey for retail shopfitting in Newry covers measurements, service capacity, access for deliveries and any planning or building control points.
In and around Newry we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Display walls, gondolas and counters
- Flooring, decorating and final clean
- Measured survey and floor plan
- Strip-out and making good
- Partitions, drylining and ceilings
What should Newry owners check first?
- Landlord consent and the lease's fit-out guide usually need sign-off before work starts.
- Shopfitting inside a trading centre often has to run out of hours, so ask for a night-work price early.
- Fire alarm, emergency lighting and escape signage must be commissioned and certified before you open.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
Questions about retail shopfitting in Newry
How soon can work start in Newry?
Surveys are usually booked within one to two weeks. Your quote includes a start date and a dated programme.
Do you provide the design as well as the build?
We produce a layout and elevations with you, then build from them. If you already have a designer or brand guidelines, we work to those instead.
