Restaurant and café fit-out contractors in Carrickfergus
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Carrickfergus use our restaurant and café fit-out service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
A restaurant or café fit-out covers the dining area, the service counter and the back-of-house kitchen, including the extraction, gas, drainage and hygiene finishes the kitchen needs.
How do we plan the job?
For Carrickfergus jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Carrickfergus we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants.
What is included?
- Accessible toilet and baby change

What should Carrickfergus owners check first?
- Register your food business with the council at least 28 days before you start trading.
- A new extraction flue often needs planning permission, and odour and noise reports may be asked for.
- Kitchen gas work must be done and certified by a Gas Safe engineer registered for commercial catering.
In Northern Ireland, fit-out work is covered by the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) and approved by the district council's building control team. New shopfronts and illuminated signs are checked by the council's planning department.
