Pharmacy fit-out for Kirkcaldy businesses
We carry out pharmacy fit-out in Kirkcaldy and the surrounding parts of Fife, managing every trade from strip-out to a clean handover.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
What happens at the survey?
Before we price pharmacy fit-out in Kirkcaldy, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Kirkcaldy we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
- Security, CCTV and shutters
- Dispensary benching and drug storage
What should Kirkcaldy owners check first?
- The consultation room should let patients talk without being overheard in the shop.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
