Pharmacy fit-out across Essex
Businesses across Essex use us for pharmacy fit-out because one team manages the design, the trades and the sign-off. We regularly quote in Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Harlow.
A pharmacy fit-out creates the dispensary, a private consultation room, the medicines counter and the retail area, with the security and storage controlled medicines need.
What is shopfitting like in Essex?
Most enquiries we get from Essex come from cafés, takeaways and independent restaurants or showrooms and trade counters, and the survey is where we pick up the details that change the price.
The East of England mixes historic market towns with new town centres and retail parks, which means a shopfitter here is as likely to work on a listed frontage as on a modern shell unit.
What does the work include?
- Consultation room with sound privacy
- Medicines counter with pharmacist sight line
- Controlled drugs cabinet fixing
- Retail shelving and health displays
Planning and building control in Essex
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
- The pharmacist needs a clear view of the medicines counter from the dispensary.
- Controlled drugs cabinets must be fixed securely to the structure.
