What happens at the survey?
Every shop signage and fascias quote for Perth lists each element separately, so you can see what the layout, joinery, services and finishes each cost.
In and around Perth we are usually asked to work on boutiques and independent retailers and convenience stores and off-licences.
What is included?
- Built-up and illuminated letters
- Projecting and hanging signs
- Window vinyls and frosting
- Internal wayfinding
- Electrical connection and timers
What should Perth owners check first?
- Illuminated signs normally need advertisement consent from the council.
- Conservation areas often restrict internally lit box signs.
- Signs over the pavement must have a safe clearance above the footway.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
