What happens at the survey?
For Salisbury jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Salisbury we are usually asked to work on salons, barbers and beauty clinics and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Delivery and installation
- Workshop drawings for approval
- Counters and cash desks
- Display cabinets, lockable and lit
- Wall units and shelving
What should Salisbury owners check first?
- Counters should include a lowered section for wheelchair users.
- Hard-wearing edges matter more than the face finish on busy counters.
- Allow time for drawing approval before manufacture starts.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
