Bespoke shop joinery and counters contractors in Abingdon
Owners opening or refreshing a unit in Abingdon use our bespoke shop joinery and counters service to get one contract, one programme and one point of contact.
Bespoke shop joinery is furniture made for your unit: counters, display cabinets, wall units, fitting room doors and feature pieces, built in a workshop and fitted on site.
How is the work priced?
For Abingdon jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Abingdon we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and salons, barbers and beauty clinics.
What is included?
- Workshop drawings for approval
- Counters and cash desks
- Display cabinets, lockable and lit
- Wall units and shelving
- Laminate, veneer and painted finishes
What should Abingdon owners check first?
- Counters should include a lowered section for wheelchair users.
- Hard-wearing edges matter more than the face finish on busy counters.
- Allow time for drawing approval before manufacture starts.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
