Aluminium shopfronts contractors in Livingston
From the first measured survey to the day you open, our aluminium shopfronts work in Livingston is planned around your lease, your landlord and your trading hours.
An aluminium shopfront is the glazed frame, doors and stallriser that make up the front of a shop, made to measure in powder-coated aluminium with toughened or laminated safety glass.
How is the work priced?
For Livingston jobs we confirm loading and parking arrangements early, because access often shapes the programme as much as the build itself.
In and around Livingston we are usually asked to work on pharmacies and healthcare premises and showrooms and trade counters.
What is included?
- Single, double or automatic doors
- Level threshold and accessible door handles
- Stallriser and fascia panel
- Measured survey of the opening
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
What should Livingston owners check first?
- Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
In Scotland, most fit-out work that alters the building needs a building warrant from the local authority before work starts, followed by a completion certificate. Planning permission and advertisement consent are separate, and Scottish councils publish their own shopfront design guidance.
