Aluminium shopfronts contractors in Brighton
Need aluminium shopfronts in Brighton? We survey the unit, draw the layout with you and give a fixed, itemised price before anything is ordered.
An aluminium shopfront is the glazed frame, doors and stallriser that make up the front of a shop, made to measure in powder-coated aluminium with toughened or laminated safety glass.
How is the work priced?
Before we price aluminium shopfronts in Brighton, we check the lease, the landlord's fit-out rules, the existing services and how materials can get into the unit.
In and around Brighton we are usually asked to work on convenience stores and off-licences and high street units and corner shops.
What is included?
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
- Single, double or automatic doors
- Level threshold and accessible door handles
- Stallriser and fascia panel
What should Brighton owners check first?
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
- Entrance doors should give a clear opening width that suits wheelchair users.
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
