Aluminium shopfronts across Cheshire
Businesses across Cheshire use us for aluminium shopfronts because one team manages the design, the trades and the sign-off. We regularly quote in Crewe, Macclesfield, Northwich.
An aluminium shopfront is the glazed frame, doors and stallriser that make up the front of a shop, made to measure in powder-coated aluminium with toughened or laminated safety glass.
What is shopfitting like in Cheshire?
Most enquiries we get from Cheshire come from pharmacies and healthcare premises or convenience stores and off-licences, and the survey is where we pick up the details that change the price.
North West city centres and their surrounding towns have a strong food, drink and independent retail scene, with plenty of conversions of older shop units into cafés, bars and salons.
What does the work include?
- Measured survey of the opening
- Powder-coated aluminium frames in any RAL colour
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
- Single, double or automatic doors
Planning and building control in Cheshire
In England, fit-out work that affects fire escape, structure, drainage or accessibility falls under the Building Regulations and is signed off by local authority or approved inspector building control. Shopfronts, extraction flues and illuminated signs are dealt with separately by the local planning authority.
- Laminated glass holds together if broken, which helps security.
- A new shopfront usually needs planning permission, and more in a conservation area.
